The committee is chaired on behalf of Mr Dominello by David Clarke MLC, and members include Greek community leaders from key Greek Australian representative bodies, cultural and religious groups, and businesses. Both Mr Clark and Mr Dominello said the Greek MCC will help strengthen the relationship between the community and the NSW Liberals and Nationals Government.
"In March this year, many NSW citizens with Greek heritage voted for Liberal or Nationals candidates because we offered them our pledge to restore quality in service delivery and infrastructure provision, regardless of where you live or what your cultural heritage is," Mr Clark said. The initial group of MCCs will be officially launched on Friday 25 November 2011 at NSW Parliament House. Further MCCs will be considered and formed on the community's request.
